THE EXPERIENCE
What can I expect from The Slaughterhouse Tucson?
Experience
The Slaughterhouse, Tucson's #1 rated haunted house entering its 20th year. One giant horrifying walkthrough featuring different themes throughout the experience including ghouls, voodoo, butchers, chainsaws (of course
🪚), clowns, zombies and more. Haunted House not enough for you? Take on the horde on the second story of the building armed with irM4 laser combat weapons in our add-on main attraction - Apocalypse Zombie Shooting Experience! Plus, enjoy our crowd favorite digital wait line - check out the bar, local food trucks, axe throwing, mini escape rooms, a one of a kind gift shop and more while you wait to face your fears.
Where is the experience located?
The event will take place at 1102 W Grant Rd, Tucson, AZ, United States, 85705.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The exhibition will be held in an indoor and outdoor venue.
How long does the experience last?
The visit will take around 45 to 60 minutes.
*Running in fear through the haunted house could cause shorter experience times*
Is there air conditioning?
The gift shop does have air conditioning. Waiting area and haunted attraction do not.
Is the experience accessible for deaf people?
We are an accessible event and use more than screams and jump scare tactics to provide a scary experience. We use specialty lighting & shadows alongside our elaborate sets and fully costumed actors to provide an experience that all can enjoy.
What accessibility options do we have for someone visually impaired?
We would not recommend this experience to someone who is significantly visually impaired or blind. The different sections of the haunted house are not easy to navigate through with an impairment of this kind.
Will there be strobe lights?
Yes.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Yes, every night we feature different local food trucks and have a Slaughterhouse Bar onsite for adults 21+. Water, soda, energy drinks and light snacks and candy are also available for purchase in the gift shop.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
The haunted house requires you to walk through the attraction.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Yes - porta potties are available, you're paying us to scare you and what is scarier than that?
Are there vegan or gluten free options available?
We cannot guarantee these options on a daily basis.
How can I work at The Slaughterhouse?
ACCESS
Is there a bag policy?
The Slaughterhouse implemented a clear bag policy in 2023. Bags must be totally clear and smaller than 12” x 12” x 6”. We recommend skipping the bag completely and just bringing items you can hold in your pockets due to the nature of the event. Medical items and small zipping wallets under 5” x 7” are permitted.
Is there security onsite?
Yes! Our security team will be wanding everyone at the entry of the property and checking that all ticket holders abide by clear bag policy! Our security team is here to keep the experience safe for our actors and our ticket holders alike!
What do I do upon arrival?
Once you have parked and passed through security, we ask that you wait for your entire group to arrive before checking in. Once your entire group is inside the gates, you will all enter a ticket scanning/check in line based on your arrival time! Please enter the line designated for the ticket time you have purchased. VIP Ticket Holders: there is a special line for you, regardless of ticket time - please enter the VIP ticket scanning line!
*On-site ticket purchases may be available, you must still go through security to access the box office and purchase tickets.
Do I need to arrive at the start of my ticket time?
It is recommended that you arrive at the time stated on your ticket, but you can arrive within the next 15 minutes. There is a digital queue onsite so note that you may not have immediate entry to the haunted house at your stated time on especially busy days. If you purchased a time slot within one hour of our stated closing time you MUST arrive at or before your selected time or you will be rescheduled to return a different date.
What happens if I arrive late?
As long as you arrive prior to 1 hour before stated closing time for the night, please enter the scanning tickets line closest to your actual arrival time and alert the staff member assisting you prior to having your tickets scanned.
Can I bring animals or service dogs?
It is not advised to bring service dogs or animals due to the scary/startling nature of the event. We LOVE pets, service or otherwise, but this event involves loud startle scares - some human and some animatronic, dark areas, and lots of things that are considered too overstimulating for animals, and there is not way for us to "lighten the scares" to make the attraction less scary/startling to be safe for a pet.
Is there an age requirement?
We recommend ages 13+, anyone under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted to enter the haunted house under any circumstances. Families can visit and bring small children along and our staff can assist in a “stroller swap” so all members of the group can enjoy the attraction - please speak to a staff member at check in/ticket scanning or at the box office to coordinate.
Is the venue ADA compliant?
Yes, with the exception of Apocalypse Zombie Shooting Experience. Please note this attraction is partially outdoors and takes place somewhat on gravel so plan accordingly!
Is there parking available?
Yes, parking is first come first served located all the way down Flowing Wells Rd.
What are the prohibited items at the experience?
Flash photography, alcohol, anything which may disturb the other patrons.
Are wheelchairs available to rent?
Not at this time.
